They feel no fear, why should you?
Okay, they’re ugly, scary, and makes terrifying moans. I get it. You’re scared. They don’t fucking care. So get over it.
One of the greatest fears of human beings is the fear of the unknown. In this case, a zombie. It may be a stuff of fiction, but when faced by a real stinking, rotting, living corpse, fear strikes our very hearts.
Is it because they are monstrous? No. Its because they were once people. People like you and me.
To survive a Zombie Apocalypse, one must remove the fear of the living dead. One must think that zombies are not what they were once was. It might take a while to get used to. But your survival depends on the choices you make. Kill or be killed.

Weapons(:
The best weapon is the one you really have and you really own.
When you ask people what are their preferred weapon for killing zombies, you get alot of funny responses like this:1. a freaking Japanese Samurai Sword!
2. a freaking Excalibur! / a medieval longsword
3. a solar powered tank
4. a .50 cal. machine gun / a freaking shotgun with 5000 shells!
5. a lightsabre
6. a prototype futuristic weapon
7. Dead-fucking-Reckoning bitch!
8. a Guass Rifle / Railgun
9. i will Hadouken/Shoryuken the muthafucka!
10. the classic Greek Soldier long spear with short sword backup
Yeah, its so cool to have those during the Zombie Apocalypse. But what are the chances of you having one or acquiring one?
The best zombie killing weapon is the one you really have and you really own. In the event of the Zombie Apocalypse, ask yourself: What do I have with me? What do I have to protect myself and my family from zombies? What are the possible weapons I could find in my house, office, school, or backyard?
The most simplest and realistic of weapons are the ones that are most effective.
Romero Zombies (shamblers) VS. Rage Zombies (runners)
Ahhh, the great zombie debate.
Many people prefer their zombies slow. Some prefer the fast ones. But does it really matter? Either way, the worlds gonna be fucked up anyway.
For starters, here are the differences between the two.
Romero Zombies
- also known as the shamblers or walkers.
- as seen on George Romero’s zombie movies, Dawn of the Dead, Night of the Living Dead, Day of the Dead, Land of the Dead, Diary of the Dead, and other Romero inspired zombie movies.
Rage Zombies
- also known as the runners or Danny Boyle zombies
- as seen on zombie movies like 28 Days Later, 28 Weeks Later, Dawn of the Dead Remake, REC, Quarantine, I am Legend. also seen on video games like Left 4 Dead and tv shows like Dead Set.
I’m not gonna discuss which one is realistic (lol) or which one is the true zombie. The important thing is we know the end result of the beginning of their existence are the same. People gets infected, everybody turns into flesh eating monsters, fucks up the world, etc.
Whether if its slow, shambling, flesh (or brain) eating monsters or fast, rabies infected, vampire-like monsters, we still end up calling them zombies. Why? Because we are them and they are us. The only difference is we, the living, non-infected humans, still have our humanity intact.
So which one are you prepared for? The slow ones or the fast ones?
I know alot of people have been praying for slow zombies to rule the world. Bunch of wussies. LOL. The degree of tension that both these zombies offer are different. But if you ask me, I’d rather prepare for the worst. I’d rather prepare for the fast ones.

Fighting Zombies(:
In my last two submissions (1, 2), I kinda made it sound like killing zombies are very easy. But how do you really kill zombies with your bare hands or melee weapons? Zombies don’t feel pain. No matter how hard you punch, kick, or hit them with a weapon, they still keep on coming.
In the 1990 zombie movie, Night of the Living Dead, Tony Todd’s character, Ben, kills a zombie in the porch using a crowbar. It took him 3 solid strikes before the zombie gets killed. In the same scene, Patricia Tallman’s character, Barbara, also fought the zombie Uncle Rege with a fire poker. She landed 6-7 solid strikes to the head before the zombie went down. This is a slow, shambling, Romero zombie, mind you. Now how would you fare against a fast, strong, extremely aggressive, rage zombie?
In a one-on-one situation, an armed person could dispose a slow, shambling zombie very easily. A properly timed and executed attack to the head could result to instant death. But there are also other factors to consider. Are you hitting hard enough? Are your swings accurate? Do you have the proper distance? How big or tall is the zombie? How big or tall are you? What kind of weapon do you have? Keep this in mind if you’re planning to fight a zombie.
Fighting a Rage Zombie is a different story. They are fast, strong, extremely agressive, terrifying, and most of the time, unpredictable. In 28 Days/Week Later and Dawn of the Dead Remake, a rage zombie could easily overpower a strong man, even with a weapon. Unarmed and armed attacks also have little effect on these zombies especially in a one-on-one situation. Even if you apply the factors I mentioned earlier, there’s just no easy way of dealing with them head-on, except for a goddamn gun. Also, psychological terror is on their side. You freak out, you panic, you die.
How would you kill a Rage Zombie one-on-one without firearms? The best way to defeat a lone Rage Zombie takes alot of running and moving. You have to use the environment around you. Create barriers and obstacles. Distract it using thrown objects. And when you find the zombie at a vulnerable position, go in for the kill. It will take A LOT OF WORK so get yourself a goddamn gun instead.

Why you wont Survive
8 Reasons why you will not survive the Zombie Apocalypse
1. You are not physically fit.According to the American Obesity Association, approximately 127 million adults in the U.S. are overweight, 60 million obese, and 9 million severely obese. If you’re one if these people then prepare to die. To survive the Zombie Apocalypse, one must escape and evade from the clutches of the undead. Do you have enough stamina to outrun them? Is your body strong enough to handle obstacles along the way? If not, then hit the freaking gym! Or just… die.
2. You don’t have a weapon.
So you decided to fight off 30 zombies with your bare hands. Glad you’re dead.
3. You are not at home.
Our homes are our personal fortress. There’s no other place you would rather be. If the zombie apocalypse happens, the first thing that will cross your mind is to get home. Believe me, getting home during the zombie apocalypse is a bitch. Chances are, you will die.
4. You don’t have friends.
So you are the anti-social type who wants to be left alone. It’s you versus the fucking zombie world. Good luck.
5. You lack survival instincts.
Everyone has it. It’s in each and everyones genetic blueprint. But because you are such a soft, sissy, little princess, expect to die early in the zombie apocalypse.
6. Poor disaster preparations.
You’ve been a victim of hurricanes, typhoons, earthquakes, and other natural disasters. Why? Because you weren’t prepared. Your government wasn’t prepared. Then the zombie apocalypse came. Still, you didn’t prepare. Die.
7. You play too much zombie video games.
Video games like Left 4 Dead, Dead Rising, and Resident Evil are good zombie games. They are like zombie survival simulators. But do they really teach you how to survive the zombie apocalypse? No. There are no fucking respawns, random first aid kits/health packs/potions, random guns and ammo, and freaking unlockables in the real zombie apocalypse. Die, nerd/geek/gamer.
8. You are not open to the possibility of a Zombie Apocalypse.
Zombies may be fiction… for now. But imagine the horror if it becomes true. People usually die by not expecting the unexpected.
Survival Tips on People & Zombies
Avoid or Befriend Others?
In the midst of a zombie apocalypse, should you avoid contact with others (strangers). True, they can help you, provide entertainment, and possibly save you; however, they can betray you, slow you down, and even kill you or get you killed. There are plenty of good people in the world and just as many bad.Applying principles of battle
Despite that zombies cannot be intimidated, some principles of battle can be applied. Every soldier out fresh out of basic knows “shoot, move and communicate”, and these could be effectively applied against the living dead.1. Shoot: proper firearms training pre-invasion is vital. The right time to learn how to shoot is not when the undead are snacking on your face. Handguns and melĂ©e weapons are excellent last resorts, but being capable of killing a zombie from 300 yards keeps you alive to fight another day.
2. Move: Remember, whatever doesn’t move is dead, at least pre animation. Staying in one place allows the enemy to mass and eventually overwhelm you. The classic zombie fiction cliche of boarding up a house will not work in the long run. A home base may be an option if well fortified and hidden, but patrols must be maintained for reconnaissance as well as search and destroy missions, and a viable escape plan must be both standardised and rehearsed. In battle itself constant movement will keep Romero zombies at a comfortable distance, as well
as potentially providing debilitating crossfire on ragers. If with a team, however, discipline and coordination are vital to mitigate friendly fire, which leads to the last point…
3. Communicate: As stated, coordination is vital for effective fighting. Securing personal communication devices, establishing visual or verbal commands, and having a strong chain of command to initiate actions will all contribute to a survivable encounter with the undead. Of course long range passive and active communications to find fellow survivors would be a great boost to both long term survival and morale. A key point in all this is that to communicate, youust have someone to communicate with. The lone wolf gunman is in no way viable except in extreme emergency, and even then the bulk of your efforts should be to find fellow humans. It will keep you sane, provide backup in battle, and a large enough group with diverse skills may be able to reestablish an economy to provide for job specialization and full time warriors, allowing the zombie apocalypse to be not only survivable, but livable.
More Tips(:
Keep or Throw: Baseball/Cricket Bat
Keep.Best makeshift weapons around (after the steel pipe).
Aluminium bends easily, so take the wooden ones.
DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, KNOCK NAILS INTO IT
This weakens the structure and increases the odds of the weapon getting stuck in the infected.
Aim for the legs and head.
In fact, go crazy.
Keep or Throw: Chainsaws.
Avoid them. They’re an apalling weapon for 4 main reasons.
1) They consume precious fuel which would be better used in a vehicle.
2) They’re loud, so will attract zombies.
3) They’re large and can’t be stored.
4) They’re good for 3-4 kills at the most until they get jammed up with guts and gristle.
Feel free to message me with other weapons for me to evaluate, but don’t take my word as law, they’re just suggestions.
IF YOUR SICK……TUFF
Stay away from hospitals. Think about it zombies usually dont leave the place they woke up. So if you feel sick where do you go. exactly so fuck the hospital and drink your orange juicedelusions regarding the japanese sword against zombies
Well many people consider ”katana” one of the finest weapons for killing zombies (this is for swords cathegory) but the truth is far from such simpleness.Lets start with a fact that katana breaks when it hits human bones. That sabre class weapon was made for slicing and cutting and very quick combat options. For longer battles ”samurais” carried several swords to keep them alive. One of the easier examples trough movies you can see in Akira Kurosawa’s 7 Samurai. There they plant katanas trough entire village for them to use.
Now great deal on the blades life goes to the wielders skills and to the makers skills. With proper use against slow zombies it is a very recomendable weapon after firearms. But against ragers with out high knowledge of sword combat against multiple enemies you will end up cutting your self and tiring within seconds of battle.
Conclusion: It is the finest sword to battle unarmed zombies but if you dont know how to wield it you are as good as dead.
P.S. Dont think you will learn as you go … cause youll be rage/slow running/walking to ur next breakfast/lunch/dinner in few hours when the Zombie apocalypse starts.
More Survival Tips.
Learn How to Handle a Firearm
It doesn’t have to be a freaking .50 cal machine gun. Small arms will do.Everyone should have the knowledge of handling a firearm. A .45 or 9mm pistol will do, for starters. But if you want stronger firepower, learn how to handle Shotguns and Rifles.
Learn How To Use A Melee Weapon
Coz if you run out of bullets, this will be your last resort. Here’s a list of potential zombie killing melee weapons.
1. Baseball Bat/Cricket Bat
2. Machete
3. Crowbar
4. Wood Axe/Fire Axe/Hatchet
5. Ax Handle
6. Wooden Club (a hardwood stick, tree branch, etc)
7. Steel Pipe
These are just few of the weapons you can find in your home.
Remember, to be efficient with a melee weapon, you must train your muscles for it. Try practicing your choice of weapon with different angles of attacking motion. Develop muscle memory.
So you got a weapon? Use it right!
Don’t just swing it like an idiot. Chances are, you’re just gonna hurt yourself or other people. Learn how to swing it properly. Know your targets and when to strike.Attacking Motions
Horizontal Strike to the Head (left or right)- with a blunt object like Baseball Bat, Steel Pipe, a Stick, etc. Or bladed weapons like Machete, Sword, etc.
Horizontal Strike to the Neck (left or right)- with a Machete, Sword, or other long bladed weapons
Impalement - If you have piercing weapon/object of some sort like Spears, home made spears, crowbars, long pointed knife. Stab the bastard in the head for instant death.
Limb Destruction
The head is not the only target. Breaking the limbs, especially the legs will slow down a zombie. Break them knees with baseball bats and other heavy blunt objects. Cut their legs and arms with blades. Its easier to decapitate a disabled zombie.
When To Strike
You don’t just swing away when you see a zombie coming, unless you have no other choice.
Carefully time your strikes. Use other objects as distractions. Sidestep them and strike at their most vulnerable angle.
Conserve your energy. Because swinging a heavy melee weapon is more tiring compared to shooting a gun. Remember: one hit, one kill.
Where are you going to go?
So, in a zombie apocalypse, where are you going to go?One main thing I like to think of is rural areas or cities.
They each have advantages-
Rural-
Advantages-
1-Probably less likely to run into zombies as less people were around (unless your near a graveyard, which is a pretty big no-no)
2-You could find a farm and keep animals for company and food.
3-Less likely to run into people which may try to loot or rob you, or possibly kill you. Or maybe worse in the long run, group up with you (which equals less food and they may hinder you if you have to get away fast)
Disadvantages-
1-It may be harder to find food! In a city you have shops and homes to loot, so bear this in mind when choosing an area.
2-If your on a farm, animals may be infected. Bad news…
3-Less places to hide in a field than in a mall for instance.
Cities-
Advantages-
1-Easy to find resources/food
2-Lots of places to hide, and live.
3-If oyu like grouping up with people, you can bet your chances in the city.
Disadvantages-
1-MUCH more likely to run into zombies.
2-A lot of homes have a chance of having zombies in them.
3-Never at your safest. (sewers could be full of zombies, whats behind that building, etc…)
